    What it does

One of the most interesting things about the Web, and the one aspect that even its initial detractors could not refute is the way it brings completely dissimilar cultures in the very same place, and makes for instant interaction. This could never be refuted, not even way back then. Right now, taking into account the social elements that we all are familiar with, it holds its own more than ever.

This site emphasizes the concept of the Net as a true bridge among cultures. The basic premise is to ask fifty people in different places the same question, and record their answers for all to see, compare and ponder upon.

The project itself was started in New Orleans, and right now it encompasses cities all over the country. The company behind it is named Crush & Lovely, and it has the objective of exploring human narrative through the new digital formats that we have become used to. The ultimate aim is to provide everybody with a more meaningful and realized web-based experience. Something that this project manages to do quite well, it must be said.

    In their own words

“Fifty People, One Question is a simple project with surprising results. We go to a place, ask fifty people the same question and film their responses. The project started in New Orleans, LA and received such a warm response that we decided to do it again in New York City. Now we're traveling to more cities (sister cities to be exact) and asking new questions. Always just trying to capture a little slice of humanity. Whatever happens … happens.”

Why it might be a killer

It makes for the effective connection and communication between individuals that are located in different cities, and for a more humane web as a whole.

    Some questions

How much will this project branch out? Will it eventually cover other parts of the globe?
